Is it possible to tether an iphone 7 plus to Windows in order to pick up wifi on the phone and get online (with the computer) via the phone?

So, not using the phone's roaming, but using wifi in a location (because the computer's wireless adapter doesn't work).

Update:

Itunes is installed on the windows machine but still it doesn't seem to work. Roaming works, but so far I haven't managed to use the wifi in the location for tethering.

Not without a jailbreak, tethering only works with cellular data. For WiFi sharing you will have to jailbreak and install TetherMe

If the 'puter's wireless NIC is not working, you'll need to use a wire, right?  I dunno if you can find cables / wirEs to connect the phone to the ethernet adapter (NIC) on the 'puter.    That's got nothing to do with roaming with your phone. (Some cell providers don't allow connected phones provide tethering)  If you're gonna need a cable, why not use an ethernet cord to connect your home router to your puter?  That's EASY.
