Because it's not a crime just like what Trump has done isn't a crime. Democrats are just desperate to illegally remove a duly elected president because they don't like him. Republicans had class not to abuse the Constitution and go after Obama on bogus charges. Democrats though believe the end justifies the means.

I tried watching the impeachment and it's just so boring. Everyone knows they have nothing. Why would the republicans allow them to have a circus? They had the power to call witnesses in congress, they just want to do this to make Trump look guilty. Cause they know he's not guilty of anything.

Obama had mostly positive media coverage and could do things Trump could only dream about doing. Remember when he gave Iran pallets of cash without congressional approval? Good times. Now flip that and let's say Trump gives Russia pallets of cash. Russia is not even a terrorist state, yet we all know the media would have a breakdown over it. Congress would cry non-stop and impeachment proceedings would start all over again. But since it was Obama it's ok. That tells you a lot about who is in power in the United States, doesn't it?

Because Congress (the House) was in control of sane Republicans who understood that Executive Privilege was real and it would be bogus to create some ridiculous non-crime like "Obstruction of Congress" to impeach a President on.

Because Obama asserted Executive Privilege, and historically the US Attorney General qualifies for protection under Executive Privilege.

Trump did not assert Executive Privilege, and in either case he prohibited ALL White House staff from testifying. There is no precedent stating that ALL White House staff are protected from Congressional subpoenas merely because the president says so.

Imagine if the tables were turned and Hillary Clinton ordered ALL White House staff to ignore subpoenas from a GOP-controlled House.

If the GOP had sufficient reason to think impeachment was warranted they would probably enforce the subpoenas and compel the witnesses.

Because he didn't have a vindictive opposing House majority determined to find any possible excuse to remove him from the day he took office.

Because nobody in the House at the time was as batshit insane as they are now.

Obama delivered on every aspect of the far right agenda.  From drilling for oil to keeping the Bush wars going to bailing out the too big to fail banks to letting the infrastructure rot, Obama was a true moderate.
