Is there a way to refer to the phalanges of the hand versus the foot?

I understand that the phalanges are the names for both the finger bones and toe bones but is there a way to refer specifically to the phalanges of the fingers like you can refer to the distal, intermediate and proximal phalanges? or would the distal phalanx of both the thumb and the big toe just be called the first distal phalanx?
