Emotional Support Animals are NOT service animals.  It's that simple.

If you have some sort of mental health disability and a pet calms you, that's fine.  That does NOT make that pet a service dog.

ESA stands for Emotional Support Animal. ESAs are NOT service animals.

ADA does not classify ESA as anything. In fact, per the ADA definition of a service animal, and ESA is most definitely NOT a service animal.

Even if the ADA does classify ESAs as working animals, the rules are being tightened up due to abuse by the traveling public, some of whom expected unreasonably to fly with their ESA alligator or vulture. Legitimate ESAs shouldn't have any problems.
