It's more specific than that.  For example, my favourites are..

Canadian whiskey, Jamaican rum, Polish vodka, Canadian and Danish beer, and Nassau Royale liqueur.

Depends if accompanied by food or to celebrate a well-earned accomplishment.

Personally, I often indulge on a lush glass of fermented cat pee. Now before you ask, NO, I do not buy the cat pee. I simply collect it from my small army of cats I have at home. And for those of you wondering, yes, flavour does change between breed. Tabbies are a bit sour (as to be expected haha :P), but my Calico produces a light, airy taste. Don't even THINK about trying Maine Coon urine, for it is foul. My favorite though is Persian pee. My precious little Zoe makes the nicest dry blush if I let it sit in a glass jar in the dark for a week.

I consider 'booze' to be distilled spirits and not the same thing as fermented or brewed alcohol like wine or beer.

I drink beer the most often, followed by wine. I do not consume very much in the way of 'booze', but when I do, my drink of choice is a good bourbon mixed with sweet vermouth, aka a Manhattan cocktail.
