Eli Manning could've retired years ago, he's a nice guy but was trash after Second Superbowl win. Why the wait?
Ex Giants coach Ben McAdoo benched Eli for the first time after a string of losses and he was treated like Hitler for it then fired. Turns out he was right all along.
Giants would've saved face if they went into rebuilding mode much sooner like Chiefs.
Saquan Barkley really should move to Baltimore Ravens or Cleveland Browns away from bad owners and managers where he can win.

As they say, hindsight is 2020. If you could predict such things before they happened, you'd be a general manager.

Why the wait? I can think of 153 million reasons why. That's about how many dollars he earned in salary and various bonuses from 2012 to 2019.

It's always about how he feels. If he felt he could carry on, then he should have carried on.

If his last name had been Smith or Jones, Eli Manning wouldn't have been an NFL quarterback for as long as he was.
The Mannings are NFL Royalty so the Giants knew that they were safe, from a PR standpoint, as long as they had one playing quarterback.
Eli was lucky to be on 2 SB winning teams and that created the illusion that he was a competent quarterback.
He was not but since the Giants had no other options and weren't interested in replacing him, Manning kept the job for far longer than he should have.

The Giants thought he was still good enough to be their starter, why would you retire if someone gives you a chance?

You've decided to not even bother with coherent sentences at this point... good for you.
What are you asking? Why did eli wait until now to retire? Before now, the giants were willing to pay him millions to play. No one will pay him to play now. Its pretty simple.
