My monitor's speakers are not working?

My monitor has speakers and normally it works with just plugging in the display cable, but for some reason it stopped working recently. What can I do to fix this? Here's a photo of my sound control panel...

That picture you showed has some things missing.

The cable that connects PC to the Monitor, I assume is a HDMI cable.

HDMI carries both Video and Sound.  If the cable is DVI or VGA, they do not carry Sound and you need a separate cable for sound (USB).

With the HDMI, you should see the Monitor Name in the Picture you showed.

The bit that is missing is at the bottom =  "SET as Default"

Select the Elgato (assuming that is the Monitor) and Set as Default

The Realtek is the sound connectors on your PC

    usually mini plug jacks

that (I'm guessing) you do not use.

    My first guess

would be that the display cable (probably an HDMI cable)

has come loose at one end.

Make sure that the display cable is tightly connected at both ends.

    If that doesn't work

check your monitor speakers by plugging a TV output into your monitor. (I.e. put the monitor where a TV is now and see if the monitor works as a TV).

If the sound is still not working when connected as a TV

then I'm guessing that there is something wrong with the speakers on your monitor

the speakers are disabled in the monitor setup menu (not sure if that's possible, but it might be possible).

So: check the monitor setup to see if speakers are enabled.
