South Korea has never officially been colonized by any country, though prior to the Korean Peninsula being divided between the DPRK and the ROK, Korea was colonized by Japan. Prior to Japanese colonization, Korea was an independent nation, but was essentially a vassal state of China for a fair portion of its history. Since the split, neither North or South Korea have been colonized.

You jap nationalists are hilarious. You got stomped worse than any country has ever been stomped in history and you think making the claim that you're better than Korea somehow might compensate for that devastating defeat and crippling shame. Kiss my Irish árse, nip.

There are still some really bad feelings about what Japan did to Korea in WWII. Look it up.
