Why do these Senate Democrats want to bring evidence to the trial?  Isn't that inappropriate?

Evidence is what proves guilt or innocence right.

It's a TRIAL! How would that be inappropriate?

Because they have nothing and they are desperate to "find" something!  They will do or say anything to get Trump removed from office.

The evidence they used in the house has already been allowed. It is what the house used for the articles of impeachment, should be more then enough for convictions in the senate.  The question should be, why does the left wish to introduce new witness in at this point, when they stated way back when they wanted to talk to them? Why didn't they even make the attempt to subpoena them?  Those that they did, that the executive branch blocked, why did the house not go to court, as is already the set procedure for resolving these types of disputes?  Why wait more then a month doing absolutely nothing, then feeding this new witness crap to the press?  What was the point? Certainly not new info, they knew exactly how this would play out. So it must have been for their flock, to try the proceedings in the public for political advantage in the upcoming elections

How do you know it would actually be more evidence and not a waste of time? It could easily be for show as opposed to important. No one knows, that is why the house should have gone through their process, yet they did not. Makes it look like political showboating.

Why is it inappropriate? They're recapping the evidence they have, asking to bring in new evidence that's just surfaced to prove their points. The GOP is in full willful ignorance mode... They aren't being impartial at all; 19 of trumps "associates" have been indicted or jailed; he's lied or made incorrect statements over 16,000 time, and yet the fools and other ignoramuses still support him without question - if he's acquitted, he's essentially become a king/monarch that can act without any check and balances - we're back to the 16th Century!

trump admitted in an interview, "they don't have the papers, and we do."  IF that's not blocking evidence, what is?  Those papers were subpoenaed and the subpoena was ignored...  If we were subpoenaed for evidence and ignored it, our families would ve visiting us in prison.

They want the senate to bring up new evidence. The problem for democrats is that you don't get to bring new evidence up at any trial including this one. The house is to gather evidence, not the senate, which the democrats know full well and yet choose to ignore so their stupid base is led to believe that republicans are corrupt.

The introduction of new evidence in the course of a trial is to be expected and, as long as the opposing party is given notice of the evidence and an opportunity to respond to it, the introduction of such evidence is perfectly permissible.

The Democrats want to bring new evidence.  Apparently, the evidence they already had wasn't any good.

They were prevented from collecting the evidence because the jerk in the WH blocked the subpoenas. A fact that seems to be conveniently ignored by the GOP. Himmler, Goebels, Goering...used the same tactics.
