True/False, the Doors only recorded one good album?
Their debut album, crafted in 1966, is their one and only masterpiece. Everything beyond that was just boring nonsense.

I feel each of their albums had a fair mix of songs that were great and that the record label could make money off of and the songs that the band enjoyed making when high.

I feel more comfortable with the statement:
The Doors recorded a few very good songs.

Many bands do produce their best works on their very first album. That album often contains the best of what they have being doing for years up until that point, and if that album is a blockbuster, then they will have a hard time creating a better one in a much shorter period of time. For example, the Cars' best album is also their first one, and they have not done anything better since then. OTOH, some can argue that the Beatles' best album is Sgt. Pepper, and their subsequent albums are not as good. Same is true of Fleetwood Mac's Rumours album and Led Zeppelin's IV. The Doors' best album may well be their first, but to say that they have only recorded one good album is gross exaggeration. I like many of the songs on their other albums besides their first one. Cannot say the same about the Cars' other albums.

Not even one, in my opinion.
They've got a couple of good (interesting) songs
but an entire album? No.
