As accurate as every other ECG monitor, so long as it's from a major manufacturer like Zoll or Lifepak and if it's certified to be used in a clinical setting (hand held monitors are usually ones that are only used on helicopters, because they cost ten's of thousands of dollars). It has to be accurate and you have to know how to interpret them and understand what's a dysrhythmia and what's just artifact or improperly placed electrodes. But each of these machines must work the same way if they're used in a doctor's office an ambulance or helicopter or any other setting where someone's life is on the line.
