Catholics and former Catholics are these quotes true about the Catholic Church?

"The Pope is NOT only the representative [Vicar] of Jesus Christ, but he is Jesus Christ Himself, hidden under [the] veil of flesh."

—The Catholic National, July 1895.

“The Pope is of so great dignity and so exalted that he is not a mere man, but as it were God, AND the Vicar of God.”The Pope is of such lofty and supreme dignity that, properly speaking, he has not been established in any rank of dignity, but rather has been placed upon the very summit of all ranks of dignities…”He is likewise the divine monarch and supreme emperor and king of kings” Hence the Pope is crowned with a triple crown, as [1] King of Heaven and [2] of Earth and of [3] the Lower Regions.” —Ferraris’ Eccl. Dictionary (Catholic) Article, Pope.

"The Pope is of so great authority and power that he can modify, explain, or interpret even divine law". The pope can modify divine law since his power is not of man, but of God, and he acts a vicegerent of God upon earth"

—Lucius Ferraris, Prompta Bibliotheca, art. Papa, II, Vol. VI, p. 29.

“Sunday is our MARK of authority… the church is ABOVE the Bible, and this transference of Sabbath observance [to Sunday] is proof of that fact”.

—“Catholic Record of London” (Ontario September 1, 1923)

"If we consulted the Bible only, we should still have to keep holy the Sabbath Day, that is, Saturday, with the Jews, instead of Sunday; ..."

—A Course in Religion for Catholic High Schools and Academies, by Rev. John Laux M.A., Benzinger Brothers, 1936 edition, Part 1.

Update:

“Tradition, NOT Scripture, is the rock on which the [Catholic] church of Jesus Christ is built.”

—Adrien Nampon, from the Catholic Doctrine, as defined by the Council of Trent (p. 157)

Update 2:

"Q. What if the Holy Scriptures command one thing, and the Pope another contrary to it? A. The Holy Scriptures must be thrown aside. Q. What is the Pope? A. He is the Vicar of Christ, King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, and there I but one Judgement-Seat belonging to God and the Pope."

—Roy Livesey, 1998, “Understanding the New Age: World Government and World Religion”: (Chichester, England: New Wine Press, P. 104.

Update 3:

Revelation 22:18–19 King James Version (KJV)

“For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man SHALL ADD unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.

And if any man SHALL TAKE AWAY from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.”

No man should be considered as lofty and of supreme dignity, especially the pope. Why? The popes have allowed child molestation and priests to have sexual relations with the nuns for centuries. Babies have been found in basement walls of churches. Just as Martin Luther and other leaders of the reformation identified the Catholic Church and its papacy as Babylon the Great, so too are all religions that have retained unscriptural doctrines, such as the Trinity, immortality of the soul, and eternal torment in hell. If we are to find the true religion, we must search the Scriptures and allow the Bible to interpret itself.---Revelation 17:1-6 and 18:1-6---I invite you to begin learning what the Bible really teaches by means of the international website (over 1,000 languages) www.jw.org. I just feel that everyone, especially on this site should want the truthful answers and stop giving their opinions that could cause more and more gullible people to believe them.

No, those quotes are not true. Most, if not all, come from anti-Catholic sites who get these from other anti-Catholic sources.

Not entirely, no. I would suggest reading the Catechism of the Catholic Church to get the official meaning of who the Pope is. From what I've learned:

The Pope is indeed the Vicar of Christ. Indeed he deserves a special dignity (he's not just any schmo), as he is the leader of all the bishops. As an ordained priest he actually can be Christ hidden in the flesh, just like any ordained priest who consecrates the mass.

The Church is not a worldly monarchy, and so the Pope is not King in that respect. In fact, it wasn't considered a monarchy even during the Middle Ages. But the Church reflects the royal priesthood of Christ, and so it would only be logical that as Christ's vicar the Pope assumes the power of king over the Church until Christ returns.

Through the Holy Spirit he is the only one who can INTERPRET divine law. I would disagree that he can make it or modify it.

BOTH Tradition AND Scripture is the authority of the Christian faith. Certainly, the Bible alone terribly lacks authority. The Bible was written and compiled FROM the Tradition. Atheists like to say that if we erased all history and started a new planet, math and science textbooks would still be the same, but the Bible would be different. I agree with that. However, Jesus started the Church and did not write a Bible. The Church would still go on and be catholic (universal).

And so, if there is a religious issue in dispute, it is the leader of the Church that Christ founded who has the primary authority to interpret Christ's position on the matter. With thousands of denominations and millions more interpretations we can logically see the danger in relying on scripture alone.

Here is a quote that is true:

The Pedophile, Child-Raping Catholic Cult has raped tens of thousands of children in its churches, and the child rape there is still rampant, not only in its churches but in its overseas missionaries as well.  There is a massive, systemic cover-up going on there that has been going on for countless decades/centuries.

It is a foul, filthy cult that should be shut down, its assets sold off & the proceeds given to its victims

Indeed the Pope is the Vicar of Jesus the Christ of Nazareth but is not Jesus in the flesh.

That is a whole lot of gobbledegook and the Pope has NO authority, he is the false prophet.

Correct about gobbledegook and the pope not having any authority - but that also extends to all religions and belief systems.
