Legal advice?

Recently I had a very botched surgery.

I asked for it to be fixed and they said they will refund me the money if I sign saying I won’t give the company a bad review ect. They have informed me that I have 7 days to sign or no refund.

Should I sign?

I have a very botched stomach and the doctor breached several Australian regulation during surgery such as unsafe sedation during the surgery without an anaesthetist or monitoring equipment. He has been on the new for this and recently lost his license

What is the best thing for me to do?

Update:

Should I seek legal advice? Get a lawyer? Or should I be happy with the refund?

I wouldn't let that doctor touch me again. I would be seeking the amount paid plus damages.

Talk to a lawyer who is familiar with malpractice laws in your country.

You will end up with far more money in a lawsuit than just your money back.

You should absolutely talk to a lawyer.

If they are willing to offer you a refund, they are basically admitting fault.

The fact that the doctor recently lost his license would factor in as well.

Don't sign anything and seek legal advice off a qualified lawyer.
