What are Capricorns really like?

No two will be the same. When you say that someone is a "Capricorn", you are identifying what "Sign" the SUN appeared to be moving through (as seen from Earth) at the general time that person was born.
And that is ONLY one out of 40-50 factors in the unique personal birthchart for any given individual, and no two birthcharts will be the same.
Sun's position is the ONLY factor that is easy to find without calculations and using only the month-day of birth. So it is easy to make money writing about Sun signs for a public that doesn't know better. And that is the ONLY usefulness for Sun-sign astrology .. .to scam the public. It is NOT real astrology.
Real astrology constructs a map of the heavens (the "ecliptic", actually) as seen from the birthplace at the MOMENT the person was born. You MUST know the exact precise date and time of birth.
And that map contains all 12 Signs, 10 planets, 12 houses, 12 to 24 aspects between the planets (which are far more important than the signs those planets were moving through), and each planet is in one house or another (houses are areas of the sky).
In astrology we ARE our 10 planets, with each planet indicating a different inner need. Sun represents ONLY how we try to find inner self-fulfillment, an inner sense of wholeness about who we are. It does NOT indicate our emotional nature (that is Moon), nor how we think and communication (that is Mercury), nor how we relate to others (that is Venus), nor any of the OTHER personality needs indicated by the other SIX planets.
No two Capricorns will be the same, and Sun indicates very little unless you are a therapist or a career counsellor working with that person who has their Sun in Capricorn. And even then, you would need to see how the Sun fits in with the other 40-50 factors in that person's birthchart.

They have huge long, curved horns. They tend to live in steep, rough terrain near the snow line. They are also social, although adult males and females segregate for most of the year, coming together only to mate. Four distinct groups exist; adult male groups, female-offspring groups, groups of young individuals, and mixed-sex groups.
