Is it considered cheating?

In a team death match in a first person shooter video game, is it considered cheating to fight your way back to the other players respawn point and kill them as they pop up? Example warface, the zones you respawn in are very concentrated and a player can stand in one spot and easily take out 5 people as they respawn. I can see how on the one hand this is considered a cheap move. But on the other hand if you can make it across the map and in their base without dieing then do they deserve it?

Spawn Camping, while not considered cheating, is a very underhanded & disrespectful act as it makes it nearly impossible for respawning player to properly re-orientate & re-gear themselves to a combat ready state.

It's so disrespectful that it can cause players to ragequit the match & block you from future match-making opportunities because nobody want to play against a person that won't give them a reasonable chance for a fair fight.  It's possible that players may file a report against you for poor sportsmanship, despite the game allow it.

This issue (with future games) have been resolved to some degree with multiple respawn points to mitigate spawn camping, making harder to predict where a player will respawn.

It's a cheap move but it's not technically cheating

A lot of games have multiple spawn points per team to avoid this from happening. Yeah it is a cheap move but it’s not cheating unless someone is running the server and says it’s not allowed.
