Public Mobile Question?

I'm leaving the country for one year & I am cancelling my autopay on Public Mobile, so I guess my plan will be cancelled or put on hold?

Additionally, what will happen to my phone number while I'm gone for a year? Does it  have the possibility of being taken by someone else, as it will be unactive for a while?

Safest would be if you changed your plan to the cheapest one they have - phone, no data or text. Or change to another company that will allow this. (We use Consumer Cellular.). This way, you have you same number when you return. But leave am out going message telling callers that you cannot be reached until . . .
