Why didn't Trump allow White House staff to testify? And why won't Republicans allow witnesses at Trump's impeachment trial?

Republicans know the evidence for Trump's guilt is too strong to see the light of day. Their only recourse is to suppress the facts.

McConnell's wife is in Trump's cabinet.  He's  like William Barr, trying to provide cover for this guy he couldn't stand when he announced he was running.  Trump knows their secrets.

When the executive branch exercised their rights, why didn't the house then go to court? Why didn't the house even bother to subpoena Bolton if they really wanted him to testify? The house even had a month plus extra to think about, to act on this, yet they did not, why?

It's a simple question with a simple answer - witnesses would incriminate Trump.

Remember, democrats walked out in protest when Eric holder was being questioned about Obama’s refusal to turn over subpoenaed documents

      False.  Trump illegally ignored subpoenas.
