Why do TV networks always want to hire Dallas Cowboy QBs as analysts?

Fox's #1 team has Aikman. CBS's #1 team has Romo. ABC had Meredith on MNF for years and they're about to offer Romo some pretty stupid money. I'm pretty sure I heard NBC was going to replace Collinsworth with Quincy Carter (which would actually be an improvement).

Update:

The CW is deciding between Gary Hogeboom and Steve Pelluer.

Update 2:

@anon- Staubach has a net worth of $600m. There isn't a network that could pay him enough to do it.

They tend to have name recognition like Bradshaw and other ex players that get network jobs.

John Madden was the number 1 announcer for decades. NBC does not have any Cowpie quarterback in its number 1 announcing team. Roger Staubach is the best quarterback in Dallas history but he is not an announcer.
