Casting directors.  That’s their whole job - they’re hired by production companies to find the appropriate actors to audition and they run the auditions.

Agents represent the actor and so the casting director arranges the audition through the agent.  The agent then notified the actor the details of the audition.

    You HAVE an agent.

THEY tell you about casting calls for play and such.

Between those two it would be the casting director. The talent agent makes a pitch in your favor.
