What are your opinion on these names for twin boys?

My sister and bil recently had twin boys. They named them David Morris and Mason Henry.

The middle names are the grandfather's first name. The fathers middle name is David.  There's no connection to Mason in the family although the father is also a Mason [Lodge] which is probably why the one kid got that name.

Also I'm already calling them Dave and Mace for short.

I'm like the names are kind of meh... Like so 90s but whatevs.

I never said they were abnormal.  It’s a legit question what is wrong with names being “so 90’s”?

David is nice but I hate Dave. It sounds like an old man. I personally would have went with a more uncommon Biblical name.  Morris is hideous. No idea why anyone would use that middle name.  But it flows.

Mason is cute. I like that name. Henry is a classic but I hate that name. But again it sounds good with the first names.

Whatever a parent names his kid is his name. Ask the parents what names to call their children and do that. It is their call. No one said you have to be consulted or rate approval.

Have your own kids. Mine are Spatula and Hurricane. We call them that.

Why do you have to ask the parents? I had special names for my niece and nephew. I certainly didn’t ask “ permission”. It’s a special thing between aunt and nieces and nephew

They aren’t names I’d personally choose but they’re sensible and it’s nice that they used family names so that they have a special meaning to them.

Those names suck. People who choose hoity-toity names like that shouldn’t be allowed to breed.

Right. I suppose they should have named their kids Butch and Bo instead.
