Is it cheaper to make my own iced coffee or to buy it already made?

I like these kinds of cold coffees, but am wondering if it would be cheaper to make my own?

Everything is cheaper if you make it on your own.

You don’t have to pay for the bottle. You don’t have to pay for the advertising. You don’t have to pay for the labor.

Considering they charge about $4-5 for a bottle of iced coffee or a cup of it, and a pound of ground coffee is $10 or less, do the math

You just need coffee and water to make a cold brew. Do 8 oz beans per 8 cups water in a giant pitcher, finely ground. Steep 20-24 hours at room temp. You can add sugar and salt while it's steeping. After ~20 hours you need to strain out the beans through paper towel/a sieve/cheesecloth, then store it back in the cleaned out pitcher in the fridge. This lasts 2 weeks. It's double strong so you just need 1/3 cup or plus more water and ice or milk or cream or whatever else you want to add to your thermos when you drink it.

Here in the UK it's massively cheaper to make your own!

It's cheaper to make your own, but not if the rest of the milk would spoil.

Coffee is always cheaper to make on your own, hot or iced. If you want to add flavors go to a restaurant supply store such as Cash and Carry.

I may seem odd but I love a little ginger in coffee!
