You contact DMV, explain the hit and run, ask what it will take to get your license back.

Nah. I rear ended someone and barely dented their bumper. Cop showed up and told me I had to contact my insurance and claim the accident and I forgot to and lost my license

Your license would not be taken because you didn't notify your insurance company.

There must have been another reason.  What was it ?

Regardless, you will get it back when you receive it.

      That is the reason

License suspensions have a predetermined length. It was on the letter.  When I was young & had a led foot, Mine was suspended for I think 60 days. i knew it because the letter told me. I called and asked what to do when it was up and guess what? They told me.

You don't lose your license because of not reporting an accident to your car insurance company.

The State is the only entity that has the power to take your license. Quit BSing us and fess up to what you did.
