Not all Ulster Protestants wanted secession.  They helped form the new state of West Virginia.  It was mostly English gentry that started the move towards secession.  Members of KKK were White Protestants.  You would have to research individual members to find out their ethnic backgrounds.

Ulster Protestants have a bigoted attitude  in NI so I assumed they help start the southern treasons rebellion. Irish Catholics supported the Union fact.

The Ulster Protestants were Irish who lived in what is now Northern Ireland. They opposed Home Rule for Ireland because, as a minority, they feared the Catholic Irish would overwhelm them with papistry, making their lives he'll and endangering their souls' salvation by making them convert.

The founders of the Confederate States of America were the legislatures of several states south of the Mason-Dixon line. They voted to secede from the United States and join together ("confederate") to form a new nation.
