Where can I go where it is quiet for a phone interview for job?
I live near a fire department and police department. Sirens are frequent and I hear for phone interview its best to find somewhere quiet.

I grew up between 2 major hospitals and 3 fire stations and a life-flight / medivac landing pad. All of them within about a 6 city block radios from my house. One of the hospitals was 7 houses up and across the street, one of the fire stations was...if you walked straight from the back of my house it was only about 100 yards away.
It's part of life. People live in areas like that. The employer will understand that. It might be relevant to inform them of that when you answer.

The basement usually is pretty insulated from sound. I lived near a fire department, they didn't go out on very many calls when I was home but the basement was always quiet.
