    Adding ñ would change things more that adding ö.

    Adding Щ would be a big challenge to singers.

    Well that depends what you want to do to the song.

    Do you want to preserve it's meter?

    It's in 4/4. A, B, C, D are each a quarter note. 

    Let's say we invent '%' pronounced 'Kwa' like in the first syllable of 'quiet'. 

    Linguists determined it goes between A and B.

    So, if you want to preserve the meter, you most likely would shorten A or B by half, and give that other half to '%'. Much like how L-M-N-O are all shorter (eighth notes) than P (a quarter note).
