Yes or no, this is an easy way to structure a story?
Come up with two parts: The Goal and The Goal Accomplished
In between, write down the conflicts and obstacles (as many as you like)

You also need to write how he overcomes his obstacles (or how some set him back) and deals with the conflicts, and how he advances toward the accomplishment of his goal.
The middle of the story is the tough part, because surmounting those obstacles and learning to deal with the conflicts and set backs are supposed to strengthen him. There also needs to be a moment when he faces failure. He's exhausted and thinks it's too tough. That might be after the encounter with the police in your other question. He realized his self-medication regimen isn't working, and that meant admitting failure. He decides to follow doctor's orders, but it means confessing to the doctor (shame) and a stay in the mental health hospital (repentance) - and he had hated the last stay there.
