Is Shadowfire right when he says, "There are trolls, and then there are trolls"? What does that even mean? Are there different degrees?

We're all trolls sometimes. But there are different categories of trolls. You've got your comedian trolls, who set out to entertain and be silly. Those are the fun kind of trolls that everybody likes.

Then you've got your devil's advocate trolls, sometimes called Poes, who pretend to hold opposite opinions from what they actually hold. Their goal is to make the other side of the debate look bad, and some of them are even good at it.

Then you've got your shock trolls. People whose only goal on the Internet is to make everybody else as angry and miserable as they are. Those are the trolls who say things like, "The holocaust never happened," "[insert minority] all need to die," and so forth. They are the scum-of-the-earth, and don't deserve a voice anywhere.

Some of the atheist trolls are more evil than others.

    Yes.

He means there are trolls that are amusing and trolls that are annoying.
