My sister's Yorkie gets something similiar every spring. Her vet told her it's a yeast infection.

There are NO vets on yahoo.   Therefore, you are asking non-vets to "GUESS" what is going on, without so much a PHOTOGRAPH of the area or issue.  If the lump has ruptured or is leaking - there is a very good chance, INFECTION (likely STAPH) will set in.  GO SEE A VET for an actual diagnosis & treatment!

Yes.  It's something that a responsible owner would ask a Veterinarian to look at.

Maybe a bot-worm larva, a tumor or an infection. Take the dog to the vet so you can have it diagnosed and treated.

There are so many different lumps & bump & growth that appear on dogs, that it takes a Vet to diagnose what it is. All the would be's would be a waste of time & could be scary.

Best to just take the dog in to see a Vet or tend the wound yourself. But not knowing what it is you wouldn't know how to treat it.
