Why does Russia, unlike the United States, not start wars?

Update:

In Ukraine the Bandera started the war and in Ossetia Saakashvili started the war

Update 2:

In Eastern Ukraine and South Ossetia, the war began on the orders of the United States

If you remember, quite a few years back, the Soviet Union was heavily involved in Afghanistan

and overspent while they were there. Financially this almost put them in bankruptcy and the Soviet Union was dissolved. Now they see us over there falling into the same situation that they once did. We're spending so much money over there that our national debt is pushing us into bankruptcy. We'll be easier pickings when we do so. They, like China, are waiting.
