What does it mean to be conditionally rehirable?

If you quit a job and they say your conditionally rehirable what exactly does this mean? Do you have to wait and year to apply to the same job?

It depends on the company.  The "conditional" refers to your previous work record with them-accuracy, attendance and attitude (and also whether or not they liked you, believe it or not).  They will review your HR file and consider you for rehire.

The company I work for (very large) requires at least a 6 month to 1 year waiting period.  So....there is no harm in reapplying and seeing what their response is.
