Why does Honda no longer make a sports car line ?

    There is the Acura NSX.  You could also throw the Civic Type R into the mix as well if you want to consider it a 4-door sports car.

     

    But if you're referring to a sporty coupe vehicle like the Prelude, most manufacturers ditched that segment because sales were dwindling

    If people bought them in numbers like the Accord or Civic, they WOULD. 

    Over the years, GM bean counters tried many times to get Chevrolet to cut the Corvette, but luckily, there were enough "car guys" in executive positions to keep it going, and today, the Vette is  capable of running with, or even BEATING many of the world's high dollar sports cars.

    Obviously because they didn't sell enough "sports cars" to make a reasonable profit from them.

    Couldn't sell enough of them to be profitable as Hondas.

    But their ACURA division builds the World Class NSX. Check that out.

      I know, it's a packaged Honda but I'm talking about the likes of an S 2000 or a del sol
