Are vampire folks allergic to Nickel instead of Silver?

    Silver as silver is the next easiest to melt outside of gold and is usually found with gold deposits too.  There was much silver.  Nickel requires something more than a campfire.

    No.  Only silver is silver, and nickel is not.  They're not even that close on the periodic table, and don't make me get all geek on your ayass.

    Vampires are highly allergic to silver (and crosses, and sunlight, and garlic, and more recently anything related to masculinity), and that's the end of the list of vampire allergies.  Don't look for technical exceptions, because there aren't any.  That's not how this stuff works.

    Everyone knows that vampires explode in direct sunlight.  But they don't explode or even sizzle in moonlight, and moonlight is just reflected sunlight, so what's the deal with that?  Exactly.  You can't have a good fantasy and then expect it to follow the rules of reality, because fantasy and reality can't live with each other.
