So, the USA has a Space Force! How many trillions is that going to cost the US tax-payer?

And wouldn't the money have been far better used getting millions of Americans into work in a free healthcare system?

We already have one and you are already paying for it. Your just buying into the media's attempt to make Trump look like an idiot. Space Force isn't meant to be like Star Trek or Star Wars it's just a bunch of high tech satellites with the ability to shoot each other down.

AIR POWER was held back because the Army wanted to do business the same old way. Now the same is true with the USAF and space. Keep in mind, it is the high ground that has decided more battles through history than anything else. Today Space is the high ground.

WHY do you care... THE SPACE FORCE is CYBER SPACE for you  people out there who think we are going to have troops in the space station or on a spaceship like star trek..

ITS CYBER SPACE and it will be in defense and to watch over our nations COMPUTER SYSTEM which run our POWER PLANTS, AIRPORTS, PLANES, SHIPS, BANKING, Computer networks, cell phones and cell towers,ETC>>> ETC>>>> ETC>>>

IT WILL REQUIRE A HIGHER AND BETTER EDUCATION LEVEL then a HS or useless college degree but someone with real computer security/ hacking prevention skills etc.. and a company who does not send all our stuff to INDIA, the PHILIPPINES etc. like NORTON and MSN and many other companies do.

You ever have a problem with NORTON, MICROSOFT etc. and call for support... you probably was talking to someone in a foreign country getting paid 2 dollars a hour.

Your lucky if they speak English well enough to understand them without having them repeat over and over.

Actually, Cyber Command is a completely different COCOM from USSPACECOM.  The USAF pulled cyber out of AFSPC before it morphed into USSF.  USSF and USSPACECOM are concerned with launching things into space, controlling satellites, and tracking everything in orbit.

It isn't going to cost any more than what it cost last month having the Air Force do it.  They changed the name of an Air Force MAJCOM and gave its boss a seat at the table with the Joint Chiefs.

As for healthcare, the DoD provides its military and civilian members with pretty good healthcare.  The money going to defense contractors making satellites, rockets, and other stuff associated with the military space mission provides jobs for Americans, jobs that include employer provided healthcare.

There is no such thing as a free healthcare system. Doctors are not slaves. If America wants to get health care under control we have to change our legal system. Many doctors in America pay more for liability insurance than doctors in Europe make for their gross earnings.

    • OK... but what does your answer have to do with THE SPACE FORCE... HEALTH CARE was not the question...

I agree with Thorn, too many. Let's just sort problems on Earth before we go all intergalactic and spreading our rubbish to space.
