If your glasses were recently prescribed to you and is a very weak prescription, you might think that you don't need them. If they are the correct prescription for distance, wear them all the time because you will see things that you didn't before and it wont hurt a thing! If they are readers, then only use them when you need to. Often enough many don't think that they need to wear glasses because they think that they can see well enough and or don't want to wear them! But if one needs to wear glasses for distance, its always best to wear them from the time you get up and till you go to bed! If you are new to wearing glasses that is the best way to do it, this way you wont forget them and will quickly get used to them. It isn't a big deal at all if you have to wear glasses as almost everyone will have to sometime during their life! Sometimes a person might be borderline for having to wear glasses and can get away without wearing them for much other than driving. Most of the time when people are prescribed glasses for distance, they will likely have to wear them for the rest of their life unless you get eye surgery. Sometimes young kids will need to wear them and often grow out of it where they don't need them again till they are older. Many people never need glasses till they reach their 40s and all the sudden they need either reading glasses or bifocals. Again it isn't a big deal to have to wear glasses!

You wont go blind but if you do it all the time then it could degrade your vision.
