    Define "quality of life."  You're asking for a qualitative assessment that is subjective and lacks any parameters whatsoever, making answering your question with anything other than baseless conjecture impossible.  The only way answering your question becomes at all meaningful and factual is if you define the parameters of what "quality of life" means, including stipulating what makes that quality better or worse.

      Okay, good points. Similar to what we look at with the human development index: education, sanitation, public health, life expectancy, pollution, wealth, equality, etc.
