I dropped a unlit match down my air vent of my house and my house is powered by gas what do I do?

Put tape all over the cat and toss her in the air vent. She will jump and crawl around and somewhere in all of that there should be a good chance the unlit match will stick to the tape and the tape will stick to the cat. You can then pull the cat out with the string that you tied around her collar before you tossed her in. Pull the tape off with the match and undo the string on the collar. Put the cat under the bed where she will stay for a couple of days.

Pour half a bottle of sparkling water down the vent to dissolve it.

Nothing. It fell down with the cheese and crackers and beer and bag of weed. It is just sitting in the pipe that carries warm air into the room. Not hot enough to light the match.

Nothing. Even if it ignited, it wouldn't cause the AIR to explode. If there is enough gas outside of the combustion chamber to be an issue, the match isn't even a contributing factor to your FAR more serious issue.

nothing .... it won't ignite on its own

Your best bet would be to grow some common sense.

call the gas people and ask them to help you take it out
