So my boyfriend has been having sleep issues for a while and don’t know what this could be. He says that no matter how much sleep he gets, could be 12 hours or 2 hours, he always feels drained and exhausted. He also sets multiple alarms in the morning and ones that are on the opposite side of his room, and sometimes he’ll wake up hours after the alarms all went off with no recollection of turning them off. What could this be from or what could help with this issue?

Sleep apnea . Have him tell his doctor this. He should have a sleep study done.

Has he been tested for mono? I felt similar when I had mono. Seeing a doctor is really important at this point.

The exhaustion could come from sleep apnea. But he'd probably be a heavy snorer if that's the case. The alarms could be shut off during sleep walking, but that can be seen. Maybe he should see a doctor?

What about his diet? Does he drink a lot of energy drinks or coffee?
Does he eat too much fast food or eat just before going to bed?
Putting too much garbage into your body and not enough water could be an issue.

Possibly low in iron also potassium
