why do i feel empty when i finish watching movies but not an episode of TV?

Because Movies are finished and unlikely to have a continued storyline in the near future leaving you knowing this world will remain the same for time to come where as TV shows are likely to have a still developing and unfinished storyline by the end of the episode which give you a sense of wondering. Many movies are also more likely to have a message in some way which it would leave you pondering about whereas the tv show is more about the plot. In conclusion movies hit you on a more personal level which results on you reflecting on your life and TV shows are more about keeping you intersected for the next episode.

Probably because you posted this drivel into Consumer Electronics, rather than into Psychology.

Your tastes have been so thoroughly corrupted that vile, bitter garbage
seems more satisfying than proper nourishment.
Stop watching TV altogether and cut Way down on movies.
Watch only films with intellectual value (like "Schindler's List")
or that are so silly (like "Airplane!") that they can't do any harm.

Maybe cause movies are lot longer running and tv shows are shorter and you can get more out of it
