Who knows! In the past 25 years we have gone from floppy disks to zip disks to CD's to DVD's to Flash drives, to Solid state drives. Now what's next! The problem with our advancement is that the older storage mediums are abandoned and some of these mediums are even no longer accessible! So when you are thinking of storage to last hundreds of years, it is an unknown at this time!

There is not any device to carry your data for 100 years and to secure it you have to take backup again and again. Just a freek question..

M-Disc's are just DVD/Blu-ray technology for the present. There is no guaranty that we will be using this tech even 10 or 20 years from now with flash drives already having crested the horizon! Sure the M-Disc is "designed" to last 1k years, but will we be using them then? Prolly not!

Unknown.   For hundreds of years!  Computer storage of any type uses Magnetic Media and we don't know how long it will last.

The BIG - BIG drawback on the subject of "Clouds" is that if the owner of the cloud server goes under, then all of that data is lost with the company! Be Aware of where you store your data!
