Using a processor with integrated graphics + GPU and processor without integrated graphics + GPU. What difference does it make?

Will I make my game run faster with either one or is it all the same?

most games use the integrated graphics only when there is no discrete graphics card

If you are using a separate GPU card, the internal or chipset GPU (if there is one) does nothing.

The only exception is some AMD A-Series "APU" chips with integrated graphics can be paired with a matching Radeon GPU card and get a performance beyond either GPU on its own.

The external GPU had to be just the right model to work with the CPU one though, it's not a normal thing.

And, the overall performance is still not as good as just a high-end nvidia card.

The internal, is automatically, disengaged. You can only use the external GPU.
