If a cue ball rolled from a ramp hit a billiard ball from various distance,how would it affect the trajectory of cue ball after impact?
The cue ball and billiard ball is still in a straight line, only distance between them is increased, for example. Would the angle and distance of cue ball from point of impact increase?

First, one would assume a purely elastic collision.
Increasing the initial distance between the two ball will not have any effect on the trajectory (since the straight line between the balls was maintained).
But since the initial distance between the balls is increased, the final resting ball distance between the two balls will decrease. That will happen due to frictional losses while the cue ball rolls over the billiard table cloth is greater when the initial distance is greater. That results in a loss of momentum by the cue ball before it strikes the object ball.
