Why haven’t Trump or the Republicans done anything to expand access to healthcare or lower the cost of prescription medications?

The US healthcare system and the cost of medication is ridiculous. I thank my lucky stars I don't have the US healthcare system. American diabetics have been flooding to Canada for insulin that costs $300 in the USA, it costs $30 in Canada.

Because many Republican politicians have large investments in big pharma companies and big pharma companies donate large sums of money to Republican election campaigns.  Doing those things would cost Republicans lots of money and donations.

Trump and the Republicans have tried to repeal the Affordable Care Act (“Obamacare”) without replacing it with anything better, the result is that millions of people have lost insurance while the Federal government now actually spends billions MORE on healthcare (to help insure fewer people)

They have problems in the House. The voters will fix that in November.
