Would this size room be ok for an 8ft pool table?

Would a 8ft table work in a room that is 13'1" x 18'? The cues would be standard 58" cues.

A regulation 8 ft table will be 88 inches by 44 inches on its playing surface.

The room measures 157 inches by 216 inches

If you arrange the table where its long sides are parallel to the long sides of the room and it is centered in the room:

    (216 - 88) / 2 = 108 - 44 = 64

    (157 - 44) / 2 = 113/2 = 56.5

You should have a border around the table that is 56.5" wide at its thinnest point.

I would say that's enough room, even with a 58" cue.  There are only a few cases where you would be completely hampered.

Thank you for your reply.  I know it will be close in size but like you said maybe only a few shots that may give me trouble.   I can use a short cue for them if need be

no , the room is far too small

you need at least 6ft on all sides of the table to be able to swing a cue stick
