At the time, why did GOP Senators support Biden's withholding funds to Ukraine (that he spoke of on video)?
This 2016 letter proves that GOP attacks on Biden over Ukraine are nonsense
It wasn’t just Biden who wanted reform in the Ukrainian prosecutor’s office. Republican senators did, too.
"... a letter dated February 12, 2016, Sens. Rob Portman (R-OH), Ron Johnson (R-WI), and Mark Kirk (R-IL), along with several Democratic senators, called for Ukraine’s then-president to “press ahead with urgent reforms to the Prosecutor General’s office and judiciary.”
Four days later, Shokin resigned (although he didn’t officially leave until the following month when Ukraine’s Parliament voted him out)."

He went there on behalf of the U.S. and in line with our foreign policy and with NATO. He was to get rid of a corrupt prosecutor to help Ukraine become LESS corrupt because they are our ally.
Trump was trying to make them MORE corrupt and it was for his own benefit, not for the foreign policy of the U.S. or for the good of Ukraine.
