How can Israel stay safe?  Settle their conflict with the Palestinians.  duh!  If they need the help of the rest of the world to do so, then so be it.  Many other nations of the world will benefit tremendously as well.

Wait, I thought Jared Kushner was working on negotiating peace in the Middle East.  Whatever happened to that?

    Hello Mshe,

The U.S. Democratic Party are anti-Israel and pro-Palestinian. Since there is no clarity about which party may win the next U.S. Presidential election, it seems to me that Israel may need to prepare itself for the possibility of a hostile U.S. government in 2021, one which will not support Israel in the U.N. Security Council (example President Obama), and which may also reverse the U.S. embassy move.

Regarding the Israeli home-building (aka "settlements") within the Jewish ancestral homeland of Judah and Samaria (West Bank), and in particular in Area C under the Oslo Accords, and within the Jewish ancestral capital of East Jerusalem, also having regard to the "Palestinian" Arabs breaching the Oslo Accords by failing to stop Palestinian terrorism and claiming ALL of Israel:

Israel needs to press ahead with such home-building, not only based on need, but also for undoubted-security, and a matter of urgency! This is because any U.S. Democrat government will very likely seek to assist the Palestinians steal yet more ancestral Jewish homeland, by the U.S. obstructing Israel home-building.

The mass media tell people that:

"The Palestinians want that land for their state", while ignoring any verification of Palestinian (false) claims over the land of Israel, the West Bank, or elsewhere.

The U.S. Democratic Party appears to predominately sympathize with the “Palestinian” Arab intention to destroy Israel and expel the Jewish People from it, and the Party also apparently fails to recognize Jewish roots in the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel / Judah. This seems somewhat illustrated by their two elections of anti-Israel politicians, one of whom Congressperson Ilhan Abdullahi Omar was fast-tracked to the House [U.S. House of Representatives] Foreign Affairs Committee.

Since the previous U.S. Congressional elections (November 2018), the Democratic Party has, at last, found some “hatemongers” to publicize what the Democratic Party, its members, and those who vote for it, REALLY believe about Jews and Israel, and it follows, its support for the “Palestinian” Arabs who wish to destroy Israel and expel or murder its Jews.

Regarding any specific Democratic Party hatemongers, it is irrelevant from where they came, their ethnicity, or their color.

“PEW Research Center” survey on Democrat and Republican member sympathy between Israel and the “Palestinian” Arabs, shows greater support for Israel’s enemies among Democrats:

    http://www.people-press.org/2018/01/23/republicans...

People often claim they are only “criticizing” Israel / Israeli policies, but by the word “criticize”, what such people really mean is: “make unsubstantiated-accusations against”. Yet they choose to do that against Israel; not other countries!

When are falsehoods against Israel typically due to anti-Semitism? UNSUBSTANTIATED-allegations against Israel that insult the reader’s intelligence, by being typically-provided with:

No details, no objective-sources; zero evidence.

Such leaves the impression Israel has become merely a hate-substitute target for that of the Jewish People.

Why do pro-Palestinians / pro-Palestinian Democratic Party politicians, assert falsehood-opinion against Israel that is devoid of any objective-evidence, as “fact”? It is because they assume others will: Likely be anti-Semitic, and thus Willing to accept what they say about Israel while being Unwilling to demand verification.

Let’s be clear about what “Zionism” means:

“Zionism” is simply Jewish nationalism; the desire to protect the re-establishment of Israel within its historic homeland, with Zion – Jerusalem, as its capital, while respecting its neighbours. What is now East Jerusalem (aka the “Old City”), was the capital of all the previous Jewish kingdoms of Judea and (united) kingdom of Israel.

Anti-Zionism is a form of Antisemitism, since the definition of “Antisemitism” includes:

“Denying the Jewish people their right to self-determination [...]”.

    https://www.holocaustremembrance.com/working-defin...

    - - - - End of extract - - - -

    Supporting Antisemitism is Antisemitism:

The Palestinian Education Authority in the Palestinian Territories teaches Holocaust-Denial and admiration of the Nazis:

President Jimmy Carter’s bias in favour of the Palestinians: Quote December 2006:

    “[...] Israel’s occupation of Palestinian territory [...]”.

    - - - - End of extract - - - -

President Barack Obama’s bias in favour of the Palestinians: Quote:

    - - - - Start of extract: - - - -

“But Israel must recognise that it cannot permanently occupy and settle Palestinian land.”

The falsehood alleging an Israeli-occupation of: “Palestine” / “Palestinian Land”, is Palestinian-propaganda based in denying Jewish roots in the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel, supported by the pro-Palestinian block-vote of up to 56 countries in the United Nations.

The United Nations built-in pro-Palestinian bias is due to its block-vote of up to 56 Arab and additional Islamic-aligned countries (e.g. U.N. member states that are also members of the “Organization of Islamic Cooperation”), plus the influence of Arab oil money; compared to Israel being just one country.

United Nations polices are fully-complicit with Palestinian propaganda denying Jewish roots in the land of Israel.

Thus, fully-complicit with Palestinian propaganda denying Jewish roots in the Jews ancestral homeland of Israel, the U.N and European Union falsely-treat the Jewish People as “invaders”, and so also as “thieves” and “illegal-occupiers” of the Jews OWN land (all the areas of land being of the prior Jewish kingdoms of Judea / Israel), likewise illogically of building “illegal-settlements” there, and with Palestinian terrorism regarded as “resistance to occupation”.

Israel cannot logically nor in law, be accused of illegal “occupation” as the land of former Jewish kingdoms of Judea / Israel (on which the Palestinian colonists reside) prior to the 1967 war, was illegally-occupied by Egypt & Jordan. Israel gave the Palestinians autonomy (Egypt & Jordan did not).

Israel cannot in law be accused of illegal “occupation” for the following three reasons. It is not possible to illegally-occupy a region, that was:

    1) LAST under the illegal-occupation of a third party: This means prior to the 1967 war, the illegal-occupation by Jordan of the West Bank and East Jerusalem, and by Egypt of Gaza.

    2) Where all the land in question rightfully belongs to the party, here Israel, accused of the alleged “occupation”: All the land upon which the Palestinian colonists reside, is of previous Jewish sovereign states of the Kingdoms of Israel / Judea.

    3) Where the claim of “occupation” is made by an entity, here “Palestine”, which never existed as a sovereign state.

There has never been any “Palestine” sovereign state upon which the “Palestinian” Arabs could either”:

     > Base any claim to the land of Israel;

    or,

     > Claim any alleged illegal “occupation”.

Israel is Re-established within the Jewish ancestral homeland. The Jews have unbroken presence in their land and previous sovereign states there, since Biblical times. There has never been any “Palestine” sovereign state by which the “Palestinian” Arabs could base any claim to the land of Israel.

The “Palestinian” Arabs falsely-allege Israeli Jews all came from Europe; some Jews being returnee-exiles. Yet the Jewish People are indigenous to their ancestral homeland of Israel, with unbroken presence from Biblical times:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Demographic_history_...

Map of Jewish Hasmonean Kingdom of Judah (aka Judea) including the West Bank, Gaza, and Golan Heights, with its capital of (what is now EAST) Jerusalem / “Old City”.

    Between 110 BCE / 754 BH and 63 BCE / 706 BH:

    https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/4/4...

Therefore it is illogical for U.S. Democratic Party Presidents to accuse the Jewish People / Israel, of: “Invading”, “stealing”, “illegally-occupying”, “being a colony”, or having “illegal-settlements” on, the Jewish ancestral homeland.

Since the “Palestinian” Arabs arrived in the land of Israel well after its indigenous Jews, this makes the Arabs the “settler-colonists”.

    I hope this helps.

    Robert.

Nonsense. Democrats are not anti-Isreal, however we may disagree with some of their government policies. Only Republicans think lockstep thinking is appropriate.

Israel is a state guilty of imperialism, apartheid, war crimes, crimes against humanity and other evil deeds.  As a progressive Democrat, I believe that Israel should no longer exist and the Jews should be expelled from Palestine.
