    It is option b. 2x^2 -x -6 = 0 and the value of x = 2 or -1.5

    // Your answer is correct.

    3.............4

    -----  +  ------ = 2

    x+1.......x+2

    .....// Multiply both sides by (x+1)(x+3)

    .....// to get rid of the fractions

    3(x+2) + 4(x+1) = 2(x+1)(x+2)

    3x + 6 + 4x + 4 = 2x² + 6x + 4

    2x² - x - 6 = 0...........................ANS (Option b)

    3(x+2) + 4(x+1) = 2(x+1)(x+2) =>

    7x + 10 = 2x^2 + 6x + 4 =>

    2x^2 - x - 6 = 0.

    Yup, I agree with you.
