Cover eggs by an inch or two of water.Bring to a boil.Remove from the heat and let stand covered for 12 minutes.Run cold water over the eggs to cool.At that point,I place the eggs in the fridge to cool further.Peel,and your done.

I put the eggs in a pan, cover with water from the tap. Put on to boil.Once they are at a full rolling boil, I cover them and remove from heat.
I wait 10 minutes and then drain and put ice water on them to cool.
You will have perfect boiled eggs, no over cooked green ringed yolks.

I bring them to a boil slowly, and cook them for 12 minutes more after they reach simmer.
