Is simulating, true, animal and human style consciousness a matter of hardware or software? If we had a supercomputer from the year 3000?

that was nothing but a much, much, much, much faster version of our modern supercomputers, would it be able to render consciousness with the right software?

Hard to tell now, pal, as nobody even knows if the humankind lives till 3000 as that's 10 centuries and as the technologies are developing superfast, the outcome is unpredictable. Have a look at the movies filmed in 1970s-1980s, the reality today is so different from the predictions, right?

That would depend on your faith in God rather than computers.

they dont know .. advancing ai involves some very difficult and complex algorithms and other problems to solve .. nobody really knows what will happen lol .. kinda the same way nobody was really sure what would happen when they detonated the first atomic bomb ... but, what i keep running into is its much more likely that humans will 'blend' with the technology .. it will become more of a 'collective' consciousness ..
