Re Jn 1:33 Jesus does the baptizing. Why do today's Christians believe they have to HELP GOD by adding another baptism defying Eph 4:5?
23 For as I passed by, and beheld your devotions, I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD: Whom therefore ye IGNORANTLY worship, him declare I unto you.
24 God that made the world and all things therein, seeing that he is Lord of heaven and earth, dwelleth not in temples made with hands;
25 Neither is worshipped with men's hands, as though he needed any thing, seeing he giveth to all life, and breath, and all things" (Acts 17:23-25)!

Baptism is only used figuratively in connection with the Holy Ghost, pard. The real baptism is by immersion in water, and that is the one baptism mentioned in Ephesians. Jesus' disciples baptized by immersion and THEN gave the gift of the Holy Ghost.

When does the translation "The gospel according to _________" become available? We can park it on our bookshelf next to "The New World Translation".

Why do YOU reject what the Bible itself teaches regarding the baptizing of Christians?
We're not defying Eph 4:5 (which is not a command, BTW, so it can't be defied).
We're following Eph 4:5
in the very way that our One Lord instructed the apostles.
Why aren't you?

Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Most of the English translations are accurate. There hasn't been 36000 words added. The Greek & Hebrew is the same today as it was then. The difference is the synonym choice. Column, Pillar, Upright, etc. King James I was not Catholic. Look it up. Jesus never baptized anyone. John 4 & Matthew 3 do not say that at all. Google a Commentary on that.
