Please help and please be specific!?

I recently came back from overseas (South Korea) and I brought my iPhone which I was using from Korea with me back to the states. I also bought the iPhone in Korea. When I took the phone to Verizon and Sprint, they both didn't accept the phone, so I thought it was locked. Eventually, I had to get another phone, an LG, which is what I'm using now.

The other day, I took the SIM card out of the LG and put it into iPhone and it worked fine. I could call and text on the iPhone. What I'm wondering is, can I just keep the SIM card in the iPhone and use that? Will there be any consequences and what happens to the LG?

Providers couldn't care less about what phone you use. They just want you to pay for their service. If the SIM card swap works...your are FINE.
